We're old school.

Yes, we are a technology company, and yes we are up on the latest trends, and yes we love new stuff as much as anyone does.

HOWEVER, we don't implement the latest and greatest stuff until it has proven itself in the field. Quite honestly, we don't want to pay for it. In money or in time.

What we do want are tried and tested solutions that are the right thing for our customers, addressing their actual needs. That's how they get what they need, and how we expand our business by creating a healthy, sustainable relationship with our customers.

So we "lag behind" a bit (if you want to call it that), by taking advantage of the mistakes, the bug-fixes and the problems that others are making. Because by doing it that way, we get better stability at a far better price. And waste a whole lot less time doing it.

So, while we are very excited to see the newest, coolest stuff, we also know that, all-too-often, it's overkill. Way overkill.

Our solutions are intended to save you bandwidth for what you do best, while improving the relationship your organization has with the technical stuff we will be dealing with from now on. This is necessary, given the trend toward more and more technical integration in business and the world.

The good news is that this is not as difficult as you've been led to believe.

How we roll

So here's how we work with our clients:

  1. We create a strategy for you with an eye towards using one of our off-the-shelf solutions. These are "templatized" solutions, where we have optimized the code, the interface, the functions. For the CMS-based sites, it's as close to a bullet-proof system you can get in an Open Source world. The tradeoff for you, is that the basic layout is pretty much the basic layout. Once we go beyond that, we are back in the traditional fee-for-service model again, and the costs go up respectively. The very good news is that the basic template structure is very flexible, so this kind of customization is rarely needed.

  2. Once we have an agreement in place, Visionsound sets up a custom domain on our Rackspace™ cloud servers. This is where we develop your new site, prototyping how it will finally look and operate. For our CMS solutions, we get your basic content customized and loaded into the site, and place our custom Content Templates™ into the system, so we can get your people involved as early as possible. This is a back-and-forth process, to make sure that you are being presented in the best possible light.

  3. Within approximately a month, you will have a completed website. For CMS Templated sites, they will be loaded with your organization's static content with all the necessary hooks into email marketing, social media sites, accepting credit cards through PayPal for simple purchases, etc. As well, your designated people will be introduced to the way they will be updating the dynamic content of your site - the Calendars, News Stories, Blog posts, Special Promotions and more.

  4. For Visionsound CMS solutions, we offer a combination Cloud Hosting/CMS Update package for $24.95/month. For that, you will have daily backups, virtually unlimited storage, bandwidth, email addresses - and have 24-Hour, Fanatical Support™ from our Rackspace™ partners. Plus, our CMS specialists will insure that you are up-to-date with the latest versions and security patches on the technical maintenance side (a $300 annual value). For simple HTML/CSS sites, we have low-cost, high bandwidth hosting - or you can provide your own hosting if desired.

  5. Visionsound will provide a clear and understandable, strategic model for your organization going forward - identifying the kinds of communications that belong in the different expressions of your web presence, so you can set up the internal systems to support them. Those include the best uses for Twitter, Facebook, Email Marketing and more. The only way to efficiently use the social media tools at our disposal, is to identify and allocate our energies into operational strategies that work with the people in your organization.
